Aamir Khan did 3 Idiots because it was about education!
Aamir Khan did 3 Idiots because it was about education!: Though he did not look that aged playing a college student in 3 Idiots, superstar Aamir Khan feels he should not have taken the role.
“I shouldn't have acted in 3 Idiots as in no way do I look like an 18 year old. The only reason I did the film was because it was about education,” said Aamir, who was in the capital on Monday to launch the book 'Colours of my Rainbow' by Himani Verma.
The book tells the story of struggles of Salma Ansari, wife of the Vice President of India Hamid Ansari, to set up schools to marginalized and underprivileged children in Aligarh.
Aamir said he was drawn towards the subject of education in movies after directing Taare Zameen Par.
“I was drawn towards stories about education ever since Taare Zameen Par and then 3 Idiots happened. Cinema has the ability to reach out to people and more films upholding this cause should be made,” said the actor.
Aamir flew down from Berlin where he is on the jury at the Berlin Film Festival.

Aamir Khan’s next two Movies: What to expect?
Aamir Khan’s next two Movies: What to expect?: Many producers and directors just dream of working with Aamir Khan, a Khan of few films, who is known to do just one film a year. But this year it’s two films for Aamir: Reema Kagti’s untitled suspense thriller to be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Aditya Chopra’s action-thriller Dhoom 3. So, what to expect from Aamir in these two films?
First of all both the films are thrillers. Reema Kagti’s film is said to be a murder thriller, an intense, gripping drama with Aamir as a cop. Kareena Kapoor is the leading lady. Aamir has already grown a beard for the film and will not be seen in a police uniform but will don casual clothes like he did in his film Sarfarosh where he played an IPS officer trying to fight the terrorists. Kagti’s film will finish by the mid of this year.
After he completes Reema’s film, Aamir will start working on Dhoom 3. He will play a villain in the film and is not ready to divulge any details about his character. All he has to say is that he wants to shock his audience, and by that we can assume he means us to expect the unexpected. As the Dhoom franchise is known for high octane action scenes, Aamir will prepare himself for the grueling stunts. Remember he has done that for Ghajini too. Last we heard that he will even sing a song in Dhoom 3 to be composed by Pritam. The music director has been told to finish all his other films first and then concentrate just on Dhoom 3. Yes, the movie is also going to be a musical extravaganza.

Aamir Khan in 'Dhoom 3': Freida Pinto to star opposite him?
Aamir Khan in 'Dhoom 3': Freida Pinto to star opposite him?: The buzz around the leading lady opposite Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3 is really building up.
Just days after the word about three possible contenders (Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone) to bag the coveted role started doing the rounds, now another actress is rumoured to be under consideration. She’s no other than the Slumdog Millionaire starlet and Mumbai girl Freida Pinto who’s a hot property in Hollywood but hasn’t been lured to Bollywood yet.
The gossip is that producer Aditya Chopra is keen to make Dhoom 3 bigger and better than the previous two films in the franchise. And what would be better than to rope in the actress who’s made her mark worldwide.
Moreover, the pairing of Aamir and Freida would be unusually refreshing.
There’s also the buzz that Katrina Kaif is also a strong contender to clinch the role.
However, the production house Yash Raj Films is still in the process of finalizing the actresses.

Madhuri Dixit to invite the three Khans for dinner
Madhuri Dixit to invite the three Khans for dinner: The actress was present Monday evening to launch celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor's new 24-hour food channel, "Food Food".
A confident cook herself, she was eager at the thought of inviting the three Khans over for dinner. "I would love to invite Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman to come and have food over at my place. I know Shah Rukh would always praise my cooking, Aamir would give me advice on how the food could be a little better, which would help me improve, and Salman would just say, 'where's the food, give it to me quicky'," a merry Madhuri told reporters.
Where women have a tendency in our culture to be better cooks than men, Madhuri has no problem admitting that this not quite the case at home, where husband Sreeram Nene's cooking talent takes the gold price. "He (Sreeram Nene) loves to cook. It's a natural art. Like I have the affinity for dance, he has natural affinity for cooking. He is also a fast learner. He's the one who aroused my interest in cooking and thanks to him I have become a good cook," she added.

Aamir Khan in ‘Dhoom 3’: opposite leading actress Katrina or Deepika
Aamir Khan in ‘Dhoom 3’: opposite leading actress Katrina or Deepika: Aamir Khan is playing the villain in Dhoom 3 and the hunt is on to find him a sexy co-star in the film. Who will bag the coveted part in the action thriller? The names doing the rounds are of Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and also Priyanka Chopra.
The chances are that Kat might get the role as she is the current favourite of YRF. She is doing Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with the production house and is also not that busy in the year 2011, unlike Deepika. Deeps has a slew of films lined up for this year; she has also said yes to a Rajinikanth film. Same is the case with Priyanka who is also very busy for this year.
Katrina has never worked with Aamir and the photoshoot which they did together for classic film Pyaasa got positive response from the fans.
Who do you think should get paired up with Aamir in Dhoom 3?

Aamir Khan as villain in Dhoom 3, it's a great franchise for being a part!
Aamir Khan as villain in Dhoom 3, it's a great franchise for being a part!: Aamir Khan is excited to play villain in “Dhoom 3″. The superstar Wednesday said “Dhoom” was a great franchise to work in even though he initially didn’t think he would fit in.”I have recently signed ‘Dhoom 3′. I liked the script very much. When I had watched ‘Dhoom’, I liked it a lot. I enjoyed the music and the whole attitude. It’s a very fun film. I really liked it. I never thought I would fit in this kind of film,” Aamir told reporters at a press meet here.
Victor Acharya, who wrote “Dhoom” and “Dhoom 2″ is the writer-director of “Dhoom 3″. The earlier installments were directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and starred Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
“When I heard the story from Victor, I really enjoyed it. Very well-written script, very enjoyable. It’s a great franchise and I am happy to be part of it. I am also looking forward to work with Abhishek and Uday,” Aamir said.
“It’s true that for the first time I’m doing a negative role, an anti-hero in the mainstream film. I liked my role and all the characters are very well-written. Actually, in between I did another negative role in an offbeat film ‘1947 Earth’,” said Aamir.
This is the second time Aamir is working with Yash Raj Films after “Fanaa” in 2006.
“I have worked with Yash Raj and I have a very comfortable relation with them,” he said.
The actor said Victor and producer Aditya Chopra are yet to decide the actress opposite him.
While “Dhoom” starred John Abraham as villain, “Dhoom 2″ saw Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai sizzle too.
Victor Acharya’s debut “Tashan” (2008) fared badly at the box office but that didn’t deter Aamir from signing his film.
“I think he is a very talented director. One shouldn’t decide a director’s capacity with the fate of any one of his films. I have full faith in him,” Aamir said.
